About Us
The Global Health AI Foundation is committed to a small set of principles that govern how we conduct our work and how we engage with the world.
Our Core Principles
Independence & Transparency
We accept no funding from AI vendors, device manufacturers, or entities with a commercial interest in the evaluation outcomes we produce. All findings, evaluation frameworks, and formal positions are published in full. Opacity is treated as a structural failure, not a communication strategy.
Rigour & Accountability
Our evaluations are conducted against published, version-controlled criteria. We report negative findings, limitations, and uncertainty ranges alongside results. Certification and endorsement, when issued, are withdrawable if subsequent evidence warrants revision.
Equity & Inclusivity
A clinical AI tool that performs well on one population and poorly on another is not safe for deployment without restriction. Our evaluation process assesses demographic performance explicitly, and our research programme prioritises underrepresented populations and low-resource health systems.
